We are physical chemistry lab at Soka University, a research group aiming to produce findings in the field of chemistry and biology by utilizing several kinds of high pressure apparatus.
Our research fields include chemistry, environment technology, food, medical welfare, and biology. Characteristically, some of these studies are focused on PRESSURE.

Joint EMLG/JMLG annual meeting 2017 @ Vienna, Austria
September 10, 2017
Joint 2017 EMLG/JMLG (European Molecular Liquids Group/ Japanese Molecular Liquids Group) meeting was held in Vienna, Austria from the 10th to 14th of September 2017. Five members of our lab participated the conference and had poster presentation, and wonderfully, Kazuyoshi Kaneko (D1) won a poster prize.
BBQ party for our new lab members

In this year, new 6 bachelor students joined our lab. So, we had a welcome BBQ party for them. We enjoyed a lot of meats and vegetables purchased from COSTCO.

Graduation research presentation of department of environmental engineering for symbiosis at Soka University was held in January 4 - 5, 2017. In the event, 6 bachelor students from our laboratory presented their own research results.

2 graduate students attended The 39th Annual Meeting of the Japan Neuroscience Society @Yokohama and had poster presentations about "Effect of pressure and temperature on the viability, cell death and cell cycle of human-derived glioblastoma cell line A-172" and"Interactive effect of temperature and pressure on cell death and cell cycle of astrocytes".
